What Is Crystal Blue Granite?

Crystal Blue Granite is an Indian granite with a dark blue-grey base and medium-sized white, silver-grey and black crystals spread evenly across the slab. The granular pattern is generally consistent, which helps on long staircases and large floors, though natural variation can occur between slabs. Some buyers also call it Blue Crystal Granite. Crystal Blue Granite for Stairs and Steps

For stairs, this stone is a popular choice. Because the crystals are spread evenly, treads and risers cut from different slabs look well coordinated, and the darker surface makes minor footmarks less noticeable than on lighter stone. For stair treads, thicker slabs such as 30 or 40 mm are usually chosen, depending on span and support; confirm the right thickness with your fabricator. For outdoor steps, a flamed or sandblasted finish generally gives more grip than polished. Share your number of steps, tread and riser size and nosing type, and we can cut them to size.

Flooring and Kitchen Platforms

For floors, Crystal Blue gives a cool, even look in halls, lobbies, offices and showrooms. 18 and 20 mm slabs are common for flooring. For kitchen platforms and countertops, the dark base makes small oil and turmeric marks less noticeable than on light granite, though stain resistance still depends on sealing and care. Before cutting a kitchen top, share your platform size, sink and hob cut-outs and edge profile.

Polished or Lapotra Finish?

Polished finish gives a glossy surface that shows the blue and silver crystals clearly. Lapotra, also written lappato or lapothra, is a lower-gloss finish than polished, with a soft sheen, and some buyers prefer it on floors and stairs for a softer, less reflective look. Ask us for photos of both finishes on the current lot before you decide.

Crystal Blue Granite Price

Its price depends on slab size, thickness, finish, quantity, cutting and delivery location. Rates differ between gangsaw slabs, cutter slabs, tiles and cut-to-size stair pieces, and special finishes can add processing cost. Our quote shows the material rate, cutting and transport separately, so you can compare it fairly with other suppliers.

  2. We share photos or a live video call of the slabs currently available.
  3. You approve the lot, and we confirm the final rate and dispatch date.

What We Check Before Dispatch

Crystal Blue is processed in Palanpur and Idar in North Gujarat, the same region as our base in Palanpur, so we can see the slabs before they leave. We try to supply your full order from one lot so the shade stays even. Before dispatch we check slab size, thickness, cracks, patches and colour difference. This way, visible issues are found before loading, not after the stone reaches your site.
